Sutton Swing Bridge,

The current swing bridge known as the Crosskeys Bridge which spans the Neene was built in 1897, the third bridge to cross the river.

Peter Scott Walk,

The Peter Scott Walk follows the old sea bank along the wash from King’s Lynn to the Peter Scott Lighthouse as Sutton Bridge. Follow the sea wall for fantastic views of the wash and North Fens with wide open landscapes.

Creake Abbey,

The site at Creake, originally an almshouse for the poor, was founded by the Augustinians as a priory, before having its status elevated to that of an abbey in 1231, situated alongside the river Burn and a mile to the north of the village of North Creake.

Denver Windmill,

Set in the heart of the West Norfolk countryside Denver Mill is a unique example of how the traditional country way of life can still operate in the modern world. The Windmill was built in 1835 and an additional Steam-powered Mill was added within the following 25 years.

Denver Sluice,

Denver Sluice is a complex array of mechanisms for managing water levels as far away as Essex. In modern Britain water is a ‘hot’ topic, and we worry over the effect of rising sea levels as well as, conversely, the impact of lack of rain during the summer. In the fenland area water has always been an issue; Denver Sluice has been at the centre of this man-made environment since it was first dug by a Dutch engineer of great genius in 1651
